March is READ-A-THON month in 3C! We are reading lots and enjoying every second of it! This is a special month in which we get to celebrate the reading that we do for fun at home as well as establish a lasting love for reading and reading routines at home. The basic reading challenge is to read 20 minutes a day, 5 times a week. Then, each week we get a special reading challenge. (Stay tuned for week 3’s challenge which is a Book Blog – where each student will update you on what he or she is reading for fun on their blog site.)
We invite our Bolivar’s Best audience to leave us your encouraging comments and/or tell us what you are reading for fun! Maybe you could share with us what makes reading so enjoyable and important?
We look forward to your comments!

I just got done reading “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. The movie based on this book just game out.
I love reading because it takes me to another place where anything can happen. And good authors who know how to pull you into their reality make books fun, exciting, and worth the time to read. Divergent was so good I read it twice! The first time I read it it took me about two days to read because I couldn’t put it down. The second time took me a little longer, but it was just as good the second time.
Good luck with your reading, kids!
